Local Links: The Businesses That Help Keep Us Running

You already know that everything we sell comes from local Maritime businesses, but did you know that many other local businesses play a vital role in our day-to-day operations? Running a business takes a village, and we’re incredibly lucky to have an amazing network of community partners who help us get the job done! Supporting Canadian businesses isn't just about the products--it's about the entire supply chain, including behind-the-scenes businesses that help companies like ours thrive.

Print Three

Our go-to print shop on Germain Street! Mike and his team at Print Three have been absolutely integral to the growth and success of our business. From business cards to product labels, posters, and marketing inserts—if it needs printing, they’ve done it for us. I can't even count the number of times I’ve emailed Mike with a last-minute rush job, and he has delivered every single time. There’s no other single business we rely on as heavily as Print Three!

Ship & Shore

Jennifer Irvin from Ship & Shore first walked into our shop a few years ago looking for gifts, and as often happens, we got to chatting. That conversation led to a fantastic partnership, and ever since, Ship & Shore has been our trusted provider for commercial garbage and cardboard recycling. Locally owned and operated since 1971, they share our commitment to eco-friendly business practices and have been serving the Greater Saint John area for over 50 years!

JCS Logistics Inc.

JCS is our favorite courier for delivering gifts within New Brunswick. They’re easy to work with, super affordable, and cover most of the province. We first discovered them through a vendor who shipped products to us using JCS, and since then, we’ve been encouraging other vendors to do the same. They’ve been a game-changer for fast and reliable local shipping!

Pristine MFG

Pristine Manufacturing moved into our building as a tenant, and since then, we’ve collaborated on so many fun projects. They’re a screen-printing business that has helped us create custom products, including our tote bags! But beyond that, they seem to know everyone and have connected us with incredible people and opportunities. We’ve gained new clients through them, and they’ve gained some through us—talk about a perfect partnership! Consider this your friendly reminder: If you share a space with other small businesses, don’t be strangers! A quick chat can turn into a great idea, a new partnership, or at the very least, a shared laugh about the joys of running a business.

General Data

James Hoyt and his team at General Data are the IT wizards we rely on to keep our tech running smoothly. They manage our firewall, maintain our internal server, and troubleshoot all the weird little issues that pop up (like why won’t my clock sync after Daylight Savings?!). We are not IT experts—our best fix is unplugging and plugging things back in—so it’s reassuring to have a team we trust. Plus, James is a great customer, often picking up gifts for friends and family when he stops by!

Flewwelling Press

A true Saint John institution! Flewwelling Press has been around since 1877, originally selling hand-engraved woodcuts for printing presses. Today, they make it incredibly easy to order custom stamps, signage, and ink through their online portal. They’ve been a staple in the city for generations, and we’re happy to support them for all our printing and engraving needs.

Supporting Local, Every Step of the Way

It takes a lot of moving parts to run a business, and we couldn’t do what we do without the help of these amazing local companies. Shopping local doesn't stop at the products we sell—for us it’s about building relationships, supporting each other, and growing our community together.
